Apple Pay launches in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and United Arab Emirates
Continuing the roll out of Apple Pay, Apple has today launched their contactless payment service in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the United Arab Emirates, taking the number of markets supporting the service to 20.
Today, in Denmark, Apple Pay will work with Nordea bank customers and Jyse bank customers (debit cards only). Apple Pay in Finland and Sweden is now supported by Nordea and ST1 bank.
In the United Arab Emirates, there are six banks for Apple Pay: Visa cards at Emirates Islamic, Emirates NBD, HSBC, mashreq, RAKBANK (Mastercard) and Standard Chartered Bank.
Apple Pay is expected to soon launch in the Netherlands, Poland, Norway, and Germany, with Apple Pay Cash expected to be launching exclusively in the United States alongside the public release of iOS 11.1.
