Apple is increasing UK App Store pricing following Brexit and the weakening exchange rate
Apple is notifying developers that U.K. App Store pricing shall increase by 25% over the next seven days, affecting the price of apps, music, movies and books due to the weakening exchange rate caused by Brexit, the iconic political move which shall see Britain leave the European Union.
The 25% price increase shall see apps and music currently priced at 0.79p increased to 0.99p, with apps priced at $9.99 in the United States being price matched at £9.99 across the pond in the United Kingdom.
Back in October, Apple increased U.K. Mac pricing by hundreds of pounds in the wake of Brexit, with the companies flagship desktop computer, the 5K iMac, now starting at £1,749, up from £1,449.
