Apple releases visionOS 27 Release Candidate ahead of public launch

Apple has released the visionOS 27 Release Candidate to developers, bringing this year’s major Apple Vision Pro software update to the final stage of testing.
The Release Candidate is Apple’s intended final build of visionOS 27 before public availability. Unless a significant issue is discovered, today’s software should become the same version delivered to Apple Vision Pro users when the update officially launches.
visionOS 27 was introduced alongside Apple’s other major operating system updates at WWDC in June.
The Apple Post has covered visionOS 27 throughout its development as Apple continues to expand the software experience available on Vision Pro.
Developers with an Apple Vision Pro enrolled for beta software can download the latest build through Software Update in Settings.
The Release Candidate label does not make the build completely immutable. Apple can issue a second RC if testing reveals an important problem, although otherwise the build is expected to progress directly to public release.
Apple publishes visionOS build information and release notes through its developer website.
The RC’s arrival means the initial visionOS 27 beta cycle is effectively at its end, with general availability expected shortly.
