Apple announces new M4 iMac with new colors, upgraded Center Stage camera, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, more

Apple has unveiled its next-generation iMac, featuring the M4 chip to enhance its Apple Intelligence capabilities, new colors, an upgraded Center Stage camera, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and finally, accessories including a color-matched keyboard, mouse and trackpad that now come with USB-C ports.
The new M4 iMac s up to 1.7x faster for daily productivity, and up to 2.1x faster for high intensity workflows, like photo editing and gaming, compared to iMac with M1, according to Apple, with the machines now available to order with a separate nano-texture glass option, reducing reflections and glare, while maintaining image quality.
Apple has added a new 12MP Center Stage camera to the M4 iMac. On the machine, all four USB-C ports support Thunderbolt 4, so users can connect accessories like external storage, docks, and up to two 6K external displays.
iMac also supports both Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Customers can pre-order the new iMac with M4 starting today, October 28, on apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app in 28 countries and regions, including the U.S, starting at $1,299. It will begin arriving to customers, and will be in Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers, beginning Friday, November 8.
