iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max availability slips into October

Apple opened pre-orders for all iPhone 16 models today, and shipping estimates for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max in the U.S. are already slipping into October for certain configurations, just over an hour after pre-orders went live.
By then, some configurations of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max were showing 2-4 week shipping delays, with estimated delivery dates reaching into mid-October. In contrast, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus were still widely available for launch-day delivery on September 20, though stock is expected to tighten as the day progresses. If you’re looking to secure one, ordering sooner rather than later is recommended.
The iPhone 16 Pro lineup brings several upgrades, including larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays with slimmer bezels, longer battery life, a new Camera Control button for quick access to camera functions, a 48MP Ultra Wide camera, and the powerful A18 Pro chip. Both models support Wi-Fi 7, faster 5G, and improved charging speeds. Apple Intelligence, a new feature arriving with iOS 18.1 in October, will also be supported on the iPhone 16 Pro models, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, and iPhone 16 Plus.
