visionOS 1.0.1 released, Apple Vision Pro likely to have a new software update on day one
Whilst the Apple Vision Pro headset won’t be fully released for just over another week, Apple has reportedly already rolled-out its first visionOS software update in the shape of visionOS 1.0.1.
As reported by Nicolás Álvarez (@nicolas09F9) on X, formally known as Twitter, Apple has released visionOS 1.0.1, suggesting that if the headset ships from the factory with visionOS 1 installed, users of the device will have an update ready for them to install straight out of the box, likely bringing with it improvements and bug fixes.
Apple unveiled its new $3,499 Apple Vision Pro headset last year, made from a singular piece of three-dimensionally formed laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame that curves to wrap a user’s face. The device features an array of advanced cameras and sensors that work together to enable the mixed-reality experience, and speakers are positioned close to a users ears to deliver Spatial Audio to create life-like three-dimensional environments.
