Apple has released macOS Sonoma 14.2, bringing with it enhanced Autofill for PDFs and improvements to Messages and Weather. The update also includes other features, bug fixes, and security updates for Mac.
In the latest update, several enhancements across different apps and functionalities have been introduced. For PDFs, Enhanced AutoFill now easily populates fields in PDFs and forms with information from your contacts, streamlining data input. In Messages, a catch-up arrow allows quick navigation to the first unread message, while the context menu gains an option to add stickers directly to messages. Additionally, Contact Key Verification ensures security for individuals facing digital threats by providing alerts and verification codes.
Weather updates offer comprehensive data, including precipitation amounts over 10 days, new widgets for various weather aspects, and a wind map snapshot for quick assessment of wind patterns over the next 24 hours. The Clock app now supports multiple simultaneous timers with customizable names, timer presets for quick setup, and easy access to restart recently used timers.
Moreover, the update includes additions like a Favorite Songs Playlist in Apple Music for easy access to marked favorites, Focus mode options to disable Listening History in Apple Music, Shazam Music Recognition for song identification even with AirPods, expanded keyboard support for 7 Sámi languages, and the note that some features might vary based on region or device compatibility.
