Leaks suggest iPhone 15 to come with color-matched braided USB-C cables
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could come with color-matched braided USB-C cables, with two separate sources sharing leaked images of the alleged charging leads, which will supposedly come in the box of the new devices.
Majin Bu was first to suggest that new braided USB-C cables could come with the iPhone 15 series, sharing an image on X, formally Twitter, that originated from Chinese social media, claiming to show new pink, blue and black braided leads.
Separately, Apple device prototype collector “Kosutami” has corroborated the rumor, sharing an image of more black braided USB-C cables, which they claim are for the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro.
Apple has never included braided or color-matched charging cables with any iPhone, instead providing white charging leads featuring a white rubber jacket. However, for its Mac lineup, including the iMac, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models with MagSafe 3, the iPhone maker has been introducing color-matched braided charging cables, so doing the same for the iPhone seems plausible amid its transition to USB-C.
