Apple mixed-reality headset display specs leak

Apple is widely expected to unveil its long-rumored mixed reality-headset next week at WWDC23, marking the launch of the iPhone maker’s first major new product since the launch of the Apple Watch.
As we near the mixed reality-headset debut, display analyst Ross Young has shared what he claims to be the specs for the two displays found inside the headset, reporting that the device will feature micro OLED screen technology with two 1.41-inch displays, measured diagonally.
According to Young, the device is targeted to have a 4000:1 contrast ratio and ,ore than 5000 nits of brightness.
Earlier today, App Store Connect, the online portal developers use to upload apps to the App Store, referenced “xrOS,” the name rumored to be given to the operating system that will run on Apple’s new mixed-reality headset.
xrOS has long been rumored to be the name chosen by Apple for the new operating system, which will offer a combination of augmented and virtual reality experiences, including VR FaceTime calls, Apple Arcade AR gaming, and more.
