Periscope telephoto lens to be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, claims report

Apple is yet again said to be bringing periscope telephoto lens capabilities only to the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max and not the smaller 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, with a new report by The Elec claiming that Apple will bring the new periscope camera to both Pro models beginning with the iPhone 16 series.
Respected industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was first to suggest that Apple could make its new periscope camera capabilities exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max late last year, possibly providing up to 10x optical zooming while minimizing image noise.
The introduction of a periscope camera lens on the iPhone 15 Pro Max would see Apple compete with the growing number of smartphone manufacturers who are already bringing periscope capabilities to their devices, including Samsung with their Galaxy S22 Ultra that offers up to 10x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom.
According to The Elec’s latest report, despite the periscope telephoto lens being made exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max at launch, Apple could bring the capabilities to both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max in 2024.
