Apple reflects on 16-year partnership with HIV/AIDS charity (RED)
Apple is commemorating World AIDS Day by reflecting on its 16-year partnership with (RED), which has seen more than a quarter of a billion dollars contributed by Apple-supported grants to helped provide care and support services for over 11 million people and distribute over 197 million HIV tests.
Supporting (RED) since 2006, Apple has been using its platform and services to highlight the ongoing effort to end HIV/AIDS, donating a portion of sales of (PRODUCT)RED product proceeds from special red-colored devices including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone SE, and Apple Watch Series 8, and more throughout the years.
In addition to the mainstream hardware, a variety of (PRODUCT)RED accessories are available from Apple, including the Silicone Case with MagSafe for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, as well as the Apple Watch Sport Loop, Sport Band, and Braided Solo Loop bands.
With each purchase of a (PRODUCT)RED device or accessory, a portion of the proceeds goes to the Global Fund to fight AIDS and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 with (RED).
Around the world, hundreds of Apple Store locations are marking the day with new window and product displays, promoting (PRODUCT)RED products and accessories, as well as to support the Global Fund.
