iPhone 11, XR and SE no longer comes with EarPods or power adapters
Apple today confirmed through its website that iPhone 11, XR and SE will join the list of iPhones that no longer offer free EarPods or power adapters, in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, and reduce electronic waste. However, the iPhones will come with a USB-C to Lightning connector.
The keynote addressed these updates, stating that millions of EarPods and chargers have been given for free and traded between people, or are still being used today, making the option of giving more to add to the pile becoming a wasteful action. They touted smaller iPhone packaging which means more iPhones can be shipped at once, meaning less carbon used to ship the same amount of iPhones, due to their smaller form factor.
