Apple today announced the brand new HomePod Mini
- It has a brand new ball shape design, that is much smaller than the original HomePod
- It has a touch screen surface on the top, allowing you to control Siri and music controls
- The HomePod mini can achieve 360 sound, powered by the S5 chip.
- It used computational sound mixing technology and intelligence to help achieve the 360 sound
- Like the original, you can use multiple and allow them to work together
- It allows hand off with the iPhone, automatically switching from one music device to another seamlessly
- It is available in black, and white, with the same mesh fabric that was introduced in the first HomePod
- Using Siri, you can ask for app specific commands with apps that support Siri integration
- Each member of the household can have their voice recognised by Siri within HomePod
- HomePod Mini can be used to control smart home devices using the Home app
- Intercom allows people to send voice messages to other HomePods in the home, in different rooms. This Alsop stretches to the car with CarPlay and through AirPods
It will be available to order on November 6th, and arrive on November 16th for £99
