Apple renaming Beats 1 to ‘Apple Music 1’, launching two new radio stations
Apple has rebranded its Beats 1 radio station to ‘Apple Music 1,’ as well as launching two new stations: Apple Music Hits and Apple Music Country.
Apple Music Hits will play songs from the ’80s, ’90s and 2000’s, whereas Apple Music Country will be home to music from the country music genre, with the stations being hosted by radio presenters with the occasional drop-in from celebrity guests.
Apple Music 1 will continue to be presented by Zane Lowe, Ebro Darden, and other DJs from Apple’s studios from around the world. The 24-hour live radio station is described by Apple as “the center for pop culture conversation and artist-led programming, and the global destination for artists from around the world to release new music, break news, and speak directly to their fans.”
All three stations can be accessed through the Radio tab in the Music app across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other devices, with no Apple Music subscription required.
