Apple pushing numerous App Store updates in bid to fix ‘This App is No Longer Shared’ bug
Late last week it was reported that some iOS users were facing a bug which was leaving them unable to open apps on iPhone or iPad, with the error message “This app is no longer shared with you. To use it, you must buy it from the App Store” shown on screen.
Now, many users are noticing dozens of pending app updates showing in the App Store, including for apps that were already recently updated by the users. In many cases, the dates listed on these new app updates extend back as far as ten days, reports MacRumors.
Users who were unable to open their apps reported that deleting the app, then redownloading it from the App Store resolves the issue, so it seems Apple is hoping that by reissuing updates to affected apps, the process of updating the app and issuing the user with a fresh install will fix the issues and allow apps to be accessed normally.
If you’ve been experiencing the iCloud Family Sharing bug, make sure you update your apps now!
