Online Apple Store adds ‘iPhone SE’ compatibility to iPhone 8 screen protector
Apple’s long-rumored low-cost iPhone, believed to be called the iPhone SE, is expected to launch at any moment.
On Thursday, a report from a trusted source claimed Apple was preparing the new device for an imminent launch and now, The Apple Post has received a tip-off to an update to a Belkin screen protector shown on Apple’s Online Store which adds iPhone SE compatibility.
Apple’s new 2020 iPhone SE is expected to look almost identical to the iPhone 8, using Touch ID rather than Face ID and one single rear camera. The device is said to use modern internals such as the A13 processor, priced from $399.
Recent rumors suggest the device will be available in three finishes: White, Black and PRODUCT (Red), with three storage capacities: 64GB, 128GB and 256GB.
The recent update to Belkin’s screen protector is one of the biggest confirmations we’ve seen that the new device will indeed be the same form factor as the 4.7-inch iPhone 8, which is believed to be dropped from Apple’s lineup when the iPhone SE officially launches.
Apple’s new 2020 iPhone SE would be the first major update to the SE line since its introduction in March 2016. The original iPhone SE, which Apple dropped from its line in 2018, featured the body of an iPhone 5S, marking the reintroduction of a 4-inch iPhone after Apple launched the larger 4.7-inch iPhone 6S, and 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus.
