Apple launches COVID-19 website and app
Apple has announced it has released a new COVID-19 website and app that includes a screening tool and other resources to allow users to stay informed with the latest information from health institutions to take the appropriate steps to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Created in partnership with the CDC1, the Coronavirus Task Force and FEMA, Apple says the new resources make it easy for people across the United States to get trusted information and guidance “at a time when the US healthcare system is feeling the heavy burden of COVID-19.”
The app and website offer access to resources to help people stay informed and get the support they need if they develop symptoms of COVID-19, as well as offering practices for washing hands, disinfecting surfaces and monitoring symptoms.
