Apple to launch Fitness app with iOS 14, offering guided workout videos
Apple is supposedly developing a new Fitness app set to launch alongside iOS 14 that will offer guided workout videos showing how to complete a wide variety of activity types, including indoor running, cycling, rowing, stretching, core training, strength training, outdoor walking, dance, and yoga.
Information obtained by MacRumors claims the app, internally codenamed “Seymour,” will allow for videos to be watched across devices, including iPhone, Apple TV and Apple Watch.
Apple appears to be making the app available to download for free, with no paid monthly subscription required to access the content which could be downloaded onto devices for offline streaming.
Delving deeper into information, it looks as if the Fitness app will track a user’s progress through each workout routine, similar to how the Apple Watch can track existing fitness activities through the Activity app.
