Apple introduces new iWear clothing range dedicated to Steve Jobs
Apple has introduced iWear, a new clothing range comprising of a mock black turtleneck, jeans, gray New Balance 991 sneakers, and a pair of non-prescription Steve Jobs-style glasses as part of a new collection aimed at eccentric Apple enthusiasts who wish to dress like the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Advertised with the slogan “Be Like Steve”, iWear is Apple’s first stab at the mass-market clothing industry, with analysts now predicting clothing could total 30% of Apple’s revenue for the remainder of 2019, with year-over-year growth forecasted.
Available to pre-order later today, April 1st, iWear will soon be available to customers around the globe, with the range initially launching in the United States and more than 20 countries and regions around the world, with a wider rollout of the iWear collection expected in late April.
Steve Jobs famously wore the same black turtleneck, blue jeans and New Balance sneakers everyday and it quickly became his trademark look – now Apple is bringing that look back to life.
All parts of the official Steve uniform will be neatly boxed, Apple style: mock black turtleneck, jeans and grey New Balance 991 sneakers. In addition, copies of Steve’s glasses (non-prescription) are available to complete the look.
It’s been reported that customers will be able to sample the clothing for themselves in Apple Stores, with new changing areas being installed next to the Genius Bar in their larger stores around the world.
If you haven’t realized by now, iWear is nothing but another joke from Scoopertino, a Mac satire news site. April Fools!
