iOS 13 concept images imagine Dark Mode, redesign volume UI, iPad mouse support, and more
Firm evidence suggests Apple will take to the stage of the McEnery Convention Center between June 3rd and June 7th to host its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, and with us slowly inching closer to the reveal of iOS 13, new concept images imagine Dark Mode support for iPhone and iPad, a redesign volume UI, improvements to multitasking, and more.
Created by French designer Leo Vallet, the new iOS 13 concepts envision what Apple may have up its sleeve for us later this year.
The concepts envision how Apple could merge the iOS multitasker with Control Center, which with a swipe from the bottom of an iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR or Face ID-equipped iPad Pro would quickly allow access to toggle controls and quit open applications.
iOS 13 is believed to bring many new features to the iPad, and the visualizations show how Apple could allow native support to use iPad as an external display with a Mac in addition to support for a new ‘Magic Mouse 3′ and Magic Trackpad 3’ with an AirPods-style pairing process with a new “W3” chip.
Leo’s concepts show how Apple could move away from the obtrusive volume UI on iPhone and iPad that remains hardly changed since the very early days of iOS. Rather than blocking a large portion of the display when a volume button is pressed, the concepts show a minimalist volume slider positioned on the same side of the display as the physical volume buttons.
Following the introduction of Dark Mode on the Mac last year, Apple is widely expected to bring the feature to iOS with the introduction of iOS 13. Leo’s concepts only show Dark Mode for iPhone in the Settings app, so a lot is left to the imagination for how the dark UI would work with application such as Messages, Phone and the App Store.
