Jony Ive retaking full control of Apple’s design devision
Apple has updated their official “Apple Leadership” website to show that British-born Chief Design Officer, Jony Ive is returning to his managerial roll taking full control of Apple’s design devision.
Jony Ive first stepped away from day-to-day management of Apple’s design teams in 2015, when he took on the role of “Chief Design Officer.” – The main reason for the step back was for Jony to manage the development of Apple Park, however now the site is beginning to take shape Jony is returning to his job overseeing the design of Apple hardware, user interface, and more.
Jony is responsible for all design at Apple, including the look and feel of Apple hardware, user interface, packaging, major architectural projects such as Apple Park and Apple’s retail stores, as well as new ideas and future initiatives.
