Apple makes PayPal a payment option for purchases through iTunes, the App Store & Apple Music
Apple is beginning to offer PayPal as a payment option for purchases made through iTunes, the App Store and Apple Music for those who have Apple IDs registered in either the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Mexico, Canada and Germany ahead of a wider roll out in the coming weeks.
Until today Apple has only ever allowed either Debit/Credit Cards or Apple iTunes & App Store gift cards to be used when making purchases through the stores, making the partnership with PayPal a first for the company.
PayPal is currently used by Apple on their main Apple.com store for financing in a number of countries around the world. – To add PayPal to your App Store, iTunes Store or Apple Music account, select PayPal in the Payment Method options and follow the steps to authenticate.
The PayPal integration isn’t limited to music in iTunes and apps on the App Store, Apple now also allows users to pay and renew iCloud Storage plans.
