Apple reportedly outsourcing all 5-inch AMOLED displays to Samsung
The iPhone 7/7 Plus have only been out on the market for less than 6 months and we’re already talking about 2017’s iPhone. In addition to the 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone variations, reports still claim a new 5-inch iPhone with an AMOLED display will be released.
This alleged 5.8-inch model is believed to have all their AMOLED panels produced by Samsung.
Supply chain makers of the new iPhone will begin production in small volumes in March 2017 and increase output in May-June.
The new 5-inch iPhone is expected to have the same dual-camera setup as the 7 Plus, but the design will be vertical. It’s also said that Foxconn and Sharp will both manufacture rear-facing camera lenses.
