Red color option rumored for 2017’s iPhone, will lack popular rumored features
Japanese blog, Macotakara, has released a new report claiming that next year’s iPhone (supposedly the iPhone 7s) will come in a new color option. If the site is correct, Apple will add an all new red casing color. This of course will join the current color line-up of Silver, Gold, Rose Gold and the recently announced Black and Jet Black.
Macotakara has a fairly solid track record when it comes to Apple. They were the first to report the iPhone 7 would launch without a headphone jack (which we all now know is true). However, Macotakara claims that the successor to the 7 and 7 Plus will not include previously rumored features such as wireless charging or a glass casing.
This means we would be seeing internal updates once again. Upgrading from the A10 to the A11 chip as well as the introduction of the red color option on the exterior casing. KGI Securities disagree though claiming that both the high and low-end iPhones will include wireless charging, but the charger may not come bundled.
The ‘iPhone 8’ is expected to see the most change with its OLED bezeless display with a home button built right into the display. It was also said the company is transitioning to an all-glass body and move away from aluminum.
