Apple announces annual App Store review shutdown for end of December
Apple has announced to developers that that iTunes Connect will not be available from December 23-27. This plan ensures that Apple’s app reviewers get their holiday time off. It also means that developers will need to get their things in order for any app updates.
The busiest season on the App Store is almost here. Make sure your apps are up-to-date and ready for the winter holidays. New apps and app updates will not be accepted December 23 to 27 (Pacific Time), so any releases should be submitted, approved, and scheduled in advance. Other iTunes Connect and developer account features will remain available.
Developers should plan on submitting any work a few days before the shutdown. Apple has also posted some tips for preparation. On the customer side of things, nothing much will be changing. Just don’t expect any new updates to be occurring.
