Apple’s disappointing Black Friday promotions go live in the UK and US; free gift cards on older products only
Following our article yesterday which reported that Apple had announced details of their Black Friday shopping event to customers in Australia and New Zealand; the tech giant has now updated their UK and US online stores, offering customers no money-off incentives, only free gift cards when purchasing older Apple hardware such as the Apple Watch Series 1, iPhone SE and fourth-generation Apple TV.
For customers in the UK, Apple is offering a £40 store gift card for purchases of either the iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, an £80 gift card when purchasing either an iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or iPad Mini 4, a £20 gift card when purchasing a selection of Series 1 Apple Watch’s and a £20 gift card when purchasing the fourth generation Apple TV. – Alongside those listed; Apple is also offering a £120 Apple Store gift card for purchases of selected Mac hardware, including Apple’s late-2016 MacBook Pro without Touch Bar.
Balancing with the currency exchange, Apple’s US customers see similar gift card values, with a $50 gift card up for grabs on the above iPhone models, a $100 gift card on the above iPad models, a $25 gift card available on selected Apple Watch models, a $150 gift card on selected Mac products and a $25 gift card with each purchase of a forth generation Apple TV.
