New Apple TV app reportedly launching with a personalized TV show ‘watch list’
While tomorrow’s event is bringing us new Mac models, Apple apparently has other tricks up their sleeve. According to the USA Today, Apple is allegedly gearing up to reveal a new Apple TV app that give users personalized TV show recommendations.
The new app will suggest TV shows to watch based on the users existing viewing habits and content subscriptions. The content will stem from applications that the user already pays for, such as Hulu, Neflix, or a cable provider. Apparently it will offer even more discovery options to the 4th generation Apple TV, which already offers up suggestions from the home screen. The report details that an official name hasn’t been released, but is referred to as a ‘Watch List’ internally. Chatter about the subject began in late August when rumors were spinning about Apple making a a TV guide for streaming channels.
The event tomorrow will most likely focus on new Mac hardware which is long overdue. Three new laptops are expected to debut, one of which has already been accidentally leaked by Apple.
