Reports claim Apple set to unveil the iPhone 8 on September 12
As anticipation builds for the launch of the iPhone 8, a new report from Mac4Ever claims Apple will launch the handset at an event scheduled for September 12, reporting that carriers have already been told when to expect the Apple announcement to prepare inventory and marketing for the imminent launch of new devices.
While it’s hard to verify the authenticity of the report, it is expected Apple will either pick September 5th or September 12th as the date to unveil their 10th anniversary iPhone alongside a possible 4K Apple TV and a new Apple Watch Series 3.
The iPhone 8 is most certainly building itself up to be one of the most anticipated iPhone releases of all time. According to leaked dimensions coming from sources within Apple’s supply chain, it appears that the iPhone 8 will be smaller than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet larger than the iPhone 7, closely matching Samsung with the Galaxy S8. It’s believed this year’s iPhone release will see Apple introduce an all new device featuring a 5.8-inch display which will feature a “Function Area” that will be home to Apple’s virtual Home button that will support Touch ID through a fingerprint scanner embedded directly into the display.
