Apple announces visionOS 27 will be released on Monday, September 14

Apple has announced that visionOS 27 will be released on Monday, September 14, confirming when Apple Vision Pro users will be able to download the next major version of the company’s spatial computing operating system.

visionOS 27 was first announced at WWDC26 in June alongside Apple’s other major software updates and has been undergoing beta testing throughout the summer.

The update brings new capabilities to Apple Vision Pro, including improvements to Siri, spatial content, immersive experiences, widgets, and the tools available to developers creating spatial apps and experiences.

visionOS 27 also forms part of Apple’s wider rollout of the next generation of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI across supported devices. Apple has published more information about Siri AI and the next generation of Apple Intelligence.

Apple began testing visionOS 27 with developers immediately following WWDC26 before making the first public beta available in July alongside Apple’s other upcoming operating systems, as The Apple Post reported.

visionOS 27 will officially be available for Apple Vision Pro on Monday, September 14.

Apple Vision Pro users will be able to install visionOS 27 through Settings > General > Software Update once the update becomes available.
