Apple could have more than new iPhones waiting for Wednesday’s event

Apple’s September 9 event will be dominated by the iPhone 18 Pro lineup and the company’s first foldable iPhone, but there are several other products that could still make an appearance.

Beyond the expected Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5, reports have repeatedly suggested Apple is preparing updates across its home lineup.

One possibility is a new Apple TV 4K. The next model is rumored to gain a much newer processor and updated wireless hardware, potentially giving Apple more headroom for Apple Intelligence and the next generation of Siri.

A refreshed HomePod mini has also been linked to this fall. Changes are expected to focus on internal hardware rather than a major redesign, with a faster chip and improved connectivity among the likely upgrades.

Apple’s long-rumored smart home hub is the wildcard. Reports have described a device with a roughly 7-inch display, camera, presence detection and deep integration with Siri, Apple Intelligence and HomeKit.

As reported by 9to5Mac, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has previously said the new Apple TV and HomePod mini would make sense for a September debut, while the smart home hub could arrive between October and early next year.

The Apple Post recently reported on as many as nine products that could feature during Apple’s event, although the iPhones and Apple Watches remain the safest bets.

There are also several products expected later in the year that are less likely to appear on Wednesday, including updated Macs and an OLED iPad mini.

If Apple does use the keynote to broaden its home lineup, it could turn an already packed event into one of the company’s largest hardware showcases in recent memory.
