How to find photos you took yourself in iOS 27

Your iPhone photo library can contain screenshots, downloaded images, pictures sent by other people and photos captured with your own devices. iOS 27 makes it easier to separate your own photography from everything else.
The Captured by Me collection automatically brings together photos identified as having been taken by you, rather than images that have simply been saved to your library from another source.
It is particularly useful for large libraries where manually searching through years of screenshots, downloads and shared images would otherwise take considerable time.
How to find the Captured by Me collection in iOS 27
- Open the Photos app on your iPhone.
- Navigate through the Photos collections until you reach Utilities.
- Find Captured by Me.
- Tap the collection to open it.
- Browse the photos that iOS has identified as being captured by you.
The collection is created automatically, so you do not need to manually tag every picture you take for it to appear there.
