Apple seeds beta 7 for iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27 and more

Apple has seeded the seventh developer betas of its upcoming software updates, including iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27, as testing nears completion ahead of the public launch in September.

The latest betas arrive one week after Apple released beta 6, suggesting the company has now moved into the final stages of its summer testing cycle. With the official releases expected in just a few weeks, beta 7 is likely focused on fixing bugs, improving performance, and polishing the overall experience rather than introducing major new features.

For iPad users, iPadOS 27 continues many of the same changes coming to iPhone, including Apple Intelligence upgrades, Siri AI, Liquid Glass refinements, and improvements across built-in apps. The update also brings iPad-specific enhancements designed to make multitasking, productivity, and Apple Pencil workflows feel more flexible.

On Mac, macOS 27 Golden Gate beta 7 follows last week’s beta 6, which introduced redesigned traffic light window controls with a more glass-like appearance. The latest beta is expected to continue refining the update ahead of launch, with macOS 27 bringing the new Siri app, Siri AI, AI-powered Shortcuts, new Safari tools, updated wallpapers and screensavers, and broader system improvements.

watchOS 27 is also now on beta 7, bringing Apple’s latest updates for Apple Watch ahead of new hardware expected in September. The update is expected to include fitness, health, interface, and performance improvements, although late-stage betas are usually focused mainly on stability.

Apple has also released new betas for tvOS 27 and visionOS 27, continuing testing for Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro. As with the other updates, major changes are unlikely this late in the cycle, with Apple now working toward Release Candidate builds.

Based on Apple’s usual schedule, one more beta could arrive before the company issues Release Candidate versions shortly after its September event. Apple is expected to announce its next iPhone lineup in September, with the final versions of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, tvOS 27, and visionOS 27 likely following soon after.
