Apple developing new low-end Magic Keyboard for iPad, scheduled for release next year

Apple is reportedly on a new low-end Magic Keyboard for the iPad, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
In his “Power On” newsletter on Sunday, Gurman reported that Apple’s suppliers are developing a new keyboard for the iPad, scheduled to launch next year. This accessory is designed for the entry-level iPad or the iPad Air, rather than the iPad Pro. Unlike the new Magic Keyboard for the M4 iPad Pro, this version will not feature an aluminum top case but may include a function row. It is expected to be released by mid-2025.
Earlier this year, Apple introduced a completely redesigned Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, which includes an aluminum top case, a function row, and a larger trackpad. Despite this new release, Apple continues to sell the previous generation Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro.
