iPhone SE 4 with Face ID rumored to be priced under $500
Apple plans to keep the price of its next-generation iPhone SE below $500, according to a leaker who claims that despite the rumored dramatic redesign of the device, which will see Apple use a similar design to the iPhone 14, Apple is targeting a sub-$500 starting price to keep the iPhone SE an affordable option in the iPhone lineup.
As reported by MacRumors, leaker Revegnus on X claimed in a now deleted post that the U.S. launch price of the fourth-generation iPhone SE will either stay at the current $429 starting price or increase by about 10%.
Apple last updated the iPhone SE in March 2022, with the device featuring the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13, 5G connectivity, better battery life, improved durability, and an upgraded camera system for $429, up from $399 over the previous generation.
Earlier rumors have speculated that the fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature a new design derived almost entirely from the base model iPhone 14. The device is rumored to feature an OLED display, Face ID, an Action button, and USB-C.
