Apple shares iOS 17 adoption data, reveals iOS 17 installs lagging behind iOS 16
Apple has today shared its iOS 17 adoption data, revealing that installs of iOS 17 are lagging behind iOS 16, with 76% of all devices introduced in the last four years running a version of iOS 17, compared to this time last year when 81% of all devices introduced over the same four-year period were running a version of iOS 16.

For the iPad, 61% of all devices introduced in the last four years use iPadOS 17. In total, 53% of all devices use iPadOS 17, with 29% running iPadOS 16, and 18% running an earlier version.
The statistics don’t include devices that download the latest software but aren’t connected to an Apple ID.
