Apple Store sitemap goes down ahead of ‘Scary Fast’ special event

With less than an hour to go until Apple takes to the stage to host it’s Halloween-themed ‘Scary Fast’ special event, the online Apple Store sitemap has gone down across the world, showing the usual roadblock that indicates new products are coming imminently.
For now, the online Apple Store and Apple Store app itself remain available, allowing shoppers to browse and make purchases as normal, however, visiting www.apple.com/shop/sitemaps/sitemap.xml shows users a page saying “We’re making updates to the Apple Store. Check back soon.”
The ‘Scary Fast’ event is expected to see Apple unveil new M3-powered Macs, and even possibly updated iPad models, with some claiming that Apple could unveil new M3, M3 Pro and M3 Pro chips at once during today’s showcase.
The event will be the first evening event held by the iPhone maker taking place at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the night before Halloween. The showcase will be streamed via the Apple Events website, on YouTube, and through the Apple TV app.
