Apple to keep hole-punch camera design exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro, reports analyst

Based on discussions throughout the supply chain, display analyst Ross Young has suggested that Apple will keep its rumored new hole-punch camera design exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, with Apple bringing the new design to all of its flagship iPhone lineup in 2023.
Rumors have been claiming for months that Apple may ditch the notch with this year’s new iPhone, with the company instead introducing a hole-punch camera design that would see Apple house its front-facing selfie camera and Face ID sensors in new pill-shape and circular cutouts at the top of the device’s display.
Concepts by “the Hacker 34” offer a look at how the iPhone 14 Pro could look with its hole-punch camera design.
Ross Young says he expects Apple to bring the rumored new camera design to all four of its iPhones in 2023, with the design remaining exclusive to the high-end iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max in 2022.

Last month we saw a purported iPhone 14 Pro display schematic leak online, claiming to show the new pill-shape and circular cutouts for the next iPhone. Apple is rumored to introduce an all-new design with the iPhone 14, featuring a thicker chassis with no rear camera bump, iPhone 4-style round volume buttons, and more.
