Leaker Jon Prosser shares alleged ‘iPhone 14’ design details
Leaker Jon Prosser has shared what he claims to be key information and design details about next year’s iPhone 14, offering an extremely early look at what to expect from Apple in 2022 before this year’s new iPhone is even announced at next week’s “California streaming” special event.
According to Prosser, who shared the alleged details in a report on Front Page Tech on Wednesday, the iPhone 14 will boast an all-new titanium design, featuring a hole-punch front camera, a thicker chassis with no rear camera bump, iPhone 4-style round volume buttons, and more.
Prosser says the iPhone 14 will feature new speaker and microphone grilles which will replace the individual holes on the bottom of the iPhone 12 with mesh cutouts that run across the bottom of the device. The report suggests Apple will stick with the Lightning connector for the iPhone 14, dashing hopes of USB-C being introduced on the iPhone anytime soon.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumors of Apple introducing titanium as a key component with the iPhone 14. JP Morgan Chase reported in July that Apple was eyeing up a new titanium alloy chassis design for the high-end iPhone 14, and other reports have suggested Apple could introduce a punch-hole display design with future iPhone models, although details have been vague.
According to Prosser, he has seen images of the “iPhone 14 Pro Max” but does not have any information on the technology set to power the new hardware.
