Apple to release AirPods with ‘All-new design’ in 2020 according to Kuo

Apple is gearing up to release an ‘all-new design’ for AirPods in 2020 according to Ming-Chi Kuo, often referred to as the best Apple analyst on the planet within a report published today.

Within the research note in which the analyst claims Apple’s long-awaited wireless charging case for AirPods is expected to arrive in early 2019 alongside a minor spec upgrade to AirPods themselves, Kuo doesn’t go into the specifics of the new, redesigned AirPods, leaving a lot to the imagination.

AirPods are expected to gain Hey Siri integration in the near future as well as features such as sweat resistance. New AirPods will also most likely adopt the latest Bluetooth technology and offer listeners crisper, clearer audio.

The Apple Post reported earlier in the year that Apple may soon release a set of new over-ear headphones which would offer users a premium, Beats-like audio experience. It’s possible that the new over-ear headphones could launch alongside the ‘all-new design’ in 2020, although Kuo didn’t specifically mention this within his latest report.
