Apple launches a range of new Twitter-based commercials highlighting the features of the iPad Pro

After a week full of commercial releases by Apple, the Cupertino tech giant on Friday unveiled four new Twitter-based commercials highlighting the features of the iPad Pro. Each of the four 16 second videos start with a tweet from a user who either writes about the iPad Pro itself or a situation where an iPad Pro would be useful.

While Apple uses actors within the commercial, all the tweets shown are real tweets shared on Twitter during late 2016 and early 2017. The adverts, ‘Better than a computer’, ‘Don’t hunt for Wi-Fi’, ‘Do more with Word’ and ‘No PC viruses’ promote a key feature within Apple’s pro tablet, a device which is suggested to be refreshed later in the year.

No PC viruses: “Yeah, that is scary. You know an iPad Pro doesn’t get PC viruses. So relax. There’s nothing to be afraid of. EXCEPT GHOSTS!”

Better than a computer: “Well, iPad Pro isn’t a computer. It’s actually faster than most laptops, has LTE like your phone, and a touchscreen you can write on. So you’re kind of right.”

Don’t hunt for Wi-Fi: “Slow Wi-Fi at home… Guess I’m studying at the gym tonight #NotBlessed”

Do more with Word: “MICROSOFT word on the APPLE iPad?”

Following the release of Apple’s Q1 2017 financial earnings in JanuaryApple CEO, Tim Cook, said ‘Exciting Things’ are coming to iPad, news which broke during a Q&A with the media shortly after Apple announced a decline in iPad shipments during their Q1 2017 financial quarter, a drop which saw iPads sales plummet to 13.1 million units compared to 16.1 million in the year-ago quarter.
