Apple unveils new 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 and up to 24 hours of battery life

Apple has unveiled a new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M6 chip, bringing faster CPU, graphics and AI performance alongside Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and up to 24 hours of battery life.

The M6 chip includes a 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU with Neural Accelerators in every core and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says graphics performance is up to 30 percent faster than M5, while on-device AI workloads can be up to 25 percent faster.

The new model also brings up to 170GB/s of memory bandwidth, 16GB of unified memory as standard with configurations up to 32GB, and faster storage for large files and demanding workflows.

Apple is keeping the familiar 14-inch MacBook Pro design, including the Liquid Retina XDR display with an optional nano-texture finish, 12MP Center Stage camera, six-speaker sound system, HDMI, MagSafe 3, three Thunderbolt 4 ports, SDXC card slot and headphone jack.

The notebook is available in space black and silver. Preorders open Wednesday, October 28, with availability beginning Friday, November 6. Pricing starts at $1,999 in the United States.

The launch confirms The Apple Post’s earlier report that an M6 14-inch MacBook Pro was expected this week. Apple detailed the new model in its official announcement.
