New Apple TV 4K reportedly launches October 30

Apple’s next-generation Apple TV 4K will reportedly reach customers and Apple Stores on Friday, October 30, giving the streaming box a release date a little over two weeks after its expected unveiling.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the new Apple TV 4K is due to ship October 30 alongside the refreshed HomePod mini. Both products are expected to be announced during Apple’s October 13 “Welcome home” launch.
The date adds a firm reported availability window to a product that has been rumored for months and would mark the first Apple TV hardware refresh since 2022.
Apple TV 4K release reportedly set for October 30
The Apple Post recently looked at why a new Apple TV 4K is expected at the October 13 event. Bloomberg’s latest report now goes further, pointing to October 30 for both deliveries and in-store availability.
The updated model is expected to retain the familiar Apple TV form factor while receiving a major internal upgrade. Bloomberg says Apple will use the standard A19 chip, replacing the A15 Bionic found in the current generation.
Apple has also experimented with changes intended to make Siri easier to use in the living room, including built-in microphones in the Apple TV itself and a Siri Remote with a speaker that could make the remote easier to locate. Bloomberg stops short of saying those tested features are certain to ship.
The October 30 timing would also place the Apple TV ahead of Apple’s new HomeView smart home hub, which is reportedly scheduled for release around mid-November.
Apple’s October 13 “Welcome home” experience begins at 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. UK time in New York, where final pricing and ordering details for the new Apple TV are expected to become clear.
