Tim Cook calls iPhone Duo ‘amazing’ ahead of October 23 release

Tim Cook has given the iPhone Duo a rare personal endorsement just weeks before launch, calling Apple’s first foldable iPhone “amazing” in a new interview.
Speaking to The Independent, Cook was discussing Apple’s current product cycle when he singled out the Duo, saying, “The Duo is coming in a few weeks and it’s amazing.”
Cook also described the wider product cycle as “unbelievably great,” an unusually enthusiastic public assessment as Apple prepares to put one of its most significant new iPhone designs into customers’ hands.
The remarks amount to a strong vote of confidence in the Duo from Apple’s executive chairman, particularly so close to launch. Apple has spent years developing the foldable device, which introduces a new form factor to the iPhone lineup.
Apple will let customers begin preparing iPhone Duo pre-orders from October 12, ahead of pre-orders opening on October 16 and the device reaching customers and stores on October 23.
