iPhone Duo buyers can get a head start on pre-orders from Monday

Apple will let customers begin preparing an iPhone Duo pre-order from Monday, October 12, giving buyers four days to get their order ready before pre-orders officially open.
The advance “Get Ready” process is designed to cut down the time needed at checkout. Customers can choose their preferred iPhone Duo configuration, confirm payment and delivery details, and prepare other parts of the purchase before orders go live.
Pre-orders for iPhone Duo will officially begin on Friday, October 16 at 5 a.m. PT (1 p.m. in the U.K.), with the first devices arriving and going on sale in stores on Friday, October 23.
The early preparation window could be particularly useful for iPhone Duo. Apple’s first foldable iPhone is expected to attract strong demand, and completing as much of the order process as possible in advance may help customers move through checkout more quickly when pre-orders open.
Apple lists the October 16 pre-order date and October 23 release date on its official iPhone Duo webpage. The company is expected to make the Get Ready option available through its online store and Apple Store app from Monday.
The Apple Post previously reported Apple’s October 12 pre-order preparation date when the company first added the detail to its iPhone Duo ordering information.
