Apple releases macOS 27.0.1 alongside updates for macOS Tahoe and Sequoia

Apple has released macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1, the first update to macOS 27, alongside new updates for Macs still running macOS Tahoe and macOS Sequoia.
macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1 arrives two weeks after Apple released macOS 27 publicly on September 14.
Apple says the update provides bug fixes for Mac, with no major new features announced as part of the release.
Alongside macOS 27.0.1, Apple has released macOS Tahoe 26.7.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.8.1 for users remaining on previous versions of macOS.
The older operating system updates focus on security fixes and performance improvements, allowing Mac users who haven’t moved to macOS Golden Gate to continue receiving maintenance updates.
Apple has not yet published the complete security details for the three releases, with further information expected through the company’s security releases documentation.
macOS Golden Gate 27 launched earlier this month with performance improvements, faster AirDrop transfers, improvements to iCloud Photos, smoother Mission Control and Spaces animations, and new Apple Intelligence capabilities.
The operating system also introduced refinements to Liquid Glass and brought Siri AI to compatible Macs.
Mac users can install the latest available update by opening System Settings, selecting General, and choosing Software Update.
