Yes. iPhone Duo supports MagSafe, including magnetic accessories and wireless charging at speeds of up to 25W.
Apple’s technical specifications confirm that iPhone Duo includes a magnet array, alignment magnet, accessory identification NFC and a magnetometer. It also supports Qi2 wireless charging at up to 25W.
Using a MagSafe Charger with a compatible 35W or higher power adapter, Apple says iPhone Duo can reach around 50 percent charge in approximately 30 minutes. Wired charging is faster, reaching around 50 percent in approximately 20 minutes with a 60W-capable or higher adapter and USB-C cable.
The built-in magnets also mean existing MagSafe-style accessories such as compatible chargers and stands can attach magnetically, although the unusual foldable shape means some accessories may fit differently than they do on a conventional iPhone.
Apple is also offering accessories designed specifically for the foldable device, including the iPhone Duo Case and iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand.
iPhone Duo preorders begin October 16 ahead of availability on October 23.
