Apple Maps updated with custom Detailed City Experience ahead of Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco

Apple has updated Apple Maps in Monaco ahead of the Formula 1 Grand Prix with a new Detailed City Experience and exclusive Formula 1 Grand Prix features. These enhancements arrive just in time for the 2025 Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco, taking place from May 23–25.
The new Detailed City Experience introduces stunning 3D representations of iconic Monégasque landmarks, including the Casino de Monte-Carlo, Fairmont Monte Carlo, Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Yacht Club de Monaco, and the F1 Paddock Club. In Dark Mode, users can explore Monaco under a moonlit glow that seamlessly transitions at dusk, offering a captivating evening view of the city.
Apple Maps now provides intricate details for road markings, land cover, tree-lined streets, and public transit routes. Navigation features have also been enhanced, with clear indicators for turn lanes, medians, bus and bike lanes, and pedestrian crossings. A new windshield view displays a driver’s perspective of road-level navigation, making it easier to manage complex interchanges and spot upcoming traffic conditions or the best lane for approaching exits.
Ahead of the Grand Prix de Monaco, Apple Maps is offering fans and attendees an immersive way to explore the iconic street circuit. The legendary racetrack is highlighted in Maps with precise markers for each of the circuit’s famous turns. Users can also view 3D models of grandstands, footbridges, the finish line, and more, bringing the thrill of race day directly to their devices.
