Report claims to share iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro camera specs and Capture Button details

AppleInsider has reportedly obtained exclusive details about the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, focusing on significant upgrades to the camera system and the introduction of the rumored “Capture Button”.
According to AppleInsider, both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will feature a dual-camera setup on the back, similar to their predecessors. However, the cameras will be vertically stacked instead of arranged diagonally. The primary camera is expected to retain its 48MP resolution with an f/1.6 aperture, but the ultra-wide lens will see an upgrade with a faster f/2.2 aperture, improving low-light performance and introducing macro photography capabilities for the first time on non-Pro models.
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are rumored to bring even more substantial changes. Both models are expected to feature a 48MP ultra-wide lens with pixel-binning technology, similar to the primary camera. Additionally, the 5X telephoto lens, previously exclusive to the Pro Max model, will be available on both Pro models this year. AppleInsider also claims that these devices will support a new JPEG-XL image format and offer 3K video recording at 120 frames per second with Dolby Vision.
One of the most anticipated features is the new Capture Button, which is rumored to be a capacitive button located on the lower-right corner of all four iPhone 16 models. This button is designed to enhance the photography experience by allowing users to control camera functions with a force-sensitive half-press and trackpad-like gestures.
