Apple yet to decide on final iPhone 18 Pro design, report claims

Apple is reportedly still yet to settle on a final design for the iPhone 18 Pro.
According to Weibo leaker Digital Chat Station, current feedback from the supply chain suggests Apple is testing two different front-facing designs before making a final decision.
The report, via 9to5Mac, claims Apple is experimenting with a smaller Dynamic Island design that would see some Face ID components moved underneath the display. The alternative design would retain the current screen cutout used on recent iPhone Pro models.
If Apple ultimately sticks with the existing design, it would mean one of the most notable rumored changes for the iPhone 18 Pro may not happen after all.
A smaller Dynamic Island has long been rumored for future iPhones, with Apple expected to gradually move more front-facing components beneath the display over the coming years.
The iPhone 18 Pro is already expected to bring several other changes, including a possible deep red finish, updated camera hardware, and the A20 Pro chip. Reports have also suggested Apple may not offer a black finish on the iPhone 18 Pro lineup this year, much like it did not with the iPhone 17 Pro.
