Apple Vision Pro available to pre-order this week in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK

Apple Vision Pro will be available to pre-order in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom later this week on Friday, June 28, with availability beginning Friday, July 12.
Originally launched only in the U.S., Apple Vision Pro pre-orders began in China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Singapore on June 13, with availability in these regions beginning on June 28 when Apple opens pre-orders in Europe.
As it has done in the U.S. for users who require vision correction, Apple partnered with ZEISS to develop ZEISS Optical Inserts that magnetically attach to Apple Vision Pro, allowing users to take full advantage of the displayʼs incredible sharpness and clarity. ZEISS Optical Inserts — Readers will be available for £99 in the UK, and ZEISS Optical Inserts — Prescription will be available for £149 in the UK.
“The enthusiasm for Apple Vision Pro has been extraordinary, and we are thrilled to introduce the magic of spatial computing to more customers around the world,” said Tim Cook, Appleʼs CEO in a press release. “We canʼt wait for more people to see the impossible become possible, whether working and collaborating with an infinite canvas for apps, reliving treasured memories in three dimensions, watching TV shows and movies in a one-of-a-kind personal cinema, or enjoying brand-new spatial experiences that defy imagination.”
Originally launched in February, the Apple Vision Pro is a high-end mixed reality headset offering advanced augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences. It features sophisticated displays, powerful sensors, and innovative software to create immersive environments for entertainment, productivity, and communication.
Made from a single piece of three-dimensionally formed laminated glass with an aluminum alloy frame, the device contours to the user’s face. An array of advanced cameras and sensors work together to enable the mixed-reality experience, while speakers positioned close to the ears deliver Spatial Audio, creating lifelike three-dimensional environments.
With the Apple Vision Pro, users can access their entire photo library on iCloud and view photos and videos at life-size scale. Panorama shots taken on an iPhone expand and wrap around the user, creating the sensation of being right where the photo was taken.
FaceTime calls on the Vision Pro take advantage of the user’s surroundings, with participants appearing in life-size tiles and using Spatial Audio to create the impression that voices are coming from their actual positions. During calls, users are represented as a Persona—a digital avatar created using advanced machine learning that reflects their face and hand movements in real time. This enables activities like watching movies, browsing photos, or collaborating on presentations together.
The Vision Pro also features a new App Store where users can discover apps and content from developers, as well as access hundreds of thousands of iPhone and iPad apps that automatically work with the Vision Pro’s input system.
Running on visionOS, a software heavily inspired by macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, the Vision Pro offers a three-dimensional interface controlled by the user’s eyes, hands, and voice. Users can browse apps by looking at them, tap their fingers to select, flick their wrist to scroll, or use their voice to dictate.
A standout feature, EyeSight, helps users stay connected with those around them. When someone approaches a user wearing the Vision Pro, the device appears transparent, allowing the user to see them while displaying the user’s eyes. When immersed in an environment or app, EyeSight provides visual cues to others about what the user is focused on.
